About Orgnisation - Memorandum of Association |
» Name: The name of the Society shall be "The Kashmir Education, Culture & Science Society, Delhi.
» Address: The registered office of the Society shall be situated in the Union Territory of Delhi & at present is located at B. 36. Pamposh Enclave. New Delhi-110048.
» Objects: The objects of the Society shall be: |
- To promote Kashmiri culture, language, arts, literature & science and to encourage study & research in these fields; and to establish & operate libraries, clubs, reading rooms & other centres, and to provide facilities and amenities; in furtherance of these objects.
- To organise & establish educational, cultural and scientific centres/institutions of various; levels for members & the youth & children particularly of the Kashmiri community so as to make them more enlightened and better citizens of India and develop a more healthy national outlook.
- To undertake, organise and facilitate study course; conferences, seminars lectures and research in Kashmiri educational cultural, linguistic and scientific fields and to undertake, facilitate and provide for publication of papers, journals and books in this behalf.
- To award grants, stipends, scholarships, prizes, loans and research fellowships to scholars of Kashmiri culture and heritage and to others deserving of such awards.
- To raise funds for the attainment of the above objectives and to acquire moveable and immoveable property for and in the name of the Society, as permissib1e by law.
- To construct, alter, demolish any building of and for the Society and hire any property in furtherance of the objects of the Society.
- To take over, acquire, hold, dispose off moveable and immoveable property, securities, or other funds or properties which shall vest in the Society and prudently to administer all such properties of the Society in such a manner as from time to time may be determined by the rules and regulations of the Society and its General Body.
- (a) To affiliate and cooperate with and undertake activities in furtherance of the objects of the Society with other institutions or Societies with similar objects.
(b) To agree to and undertake participation under approved agreements in administration and management of any organisation, institution, endowment, trust, or any property, gift or fund in conformity with and in furtherance of the objects of the Society.
- To establish for the promotion, management & administration of any specific function, activity or property vested in the Society -, any trust appoint trustees, and take further steps in accordance with trust laws, in furtherance of the objects of the Society.
- All the incomes, earnings, moveable and/or immoveable properties of the Society shall be solely utilised and applied towards the promotion of its aims and objects only as set- forth in this Memorandum of Association and no portion thereof shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividends, bonus, profit or in any manner whatsoever to the present or past members of the Society or to any person or persons claiming through any one or more of the present or past members. No member shall have any personal claim on any moveable and or immoveable properties of the Society or make any profit, whatsoever, by virtue of his membership.
- To do and to undertake in general all such lawful acts and things from time to time whether incidental to the objects aforesaid or not, as may be deemed necessary in the interests of the Society and in, furtherance of the objects or the Society.
