K.E.C.S.S, is an off shoot of Kashmir CO-OP House Building Society (Ltd.) (KCHBS); The main objectives of the Society are to promote Kashmir Culture, Language, Arts, Literature and Science, to encourage study and research in these fields, and to establish and operate Libraries, Reading Rooms and other, and to provide facilities and amenities, in furthering of these objectives.
Shuhul Taaph is a day-long annual festival held by the Kashmir Education, Culture, and Science Society (KECSS) at the KECSS Auditorium in New Delhi. The festival includes a variety of events, such as theater, dance, comedy, panel discussions, and music. The festival also features an art exhibition, the launch of the Shuhul Taaph Magazine, and the launch of new books by various authors.
The Shikara Festival is an annual event in Srinagar, Kashmir that takes place around spring and features a Shikara race on Dal Lake. The festival celebrates the Shikara, a type of wooden boat used for transportation, fishing, and harvesting on Dal Lake and other bodies of water in the area. During the festival, Shikaras are decorated with unique designs and art and line up for a race on the lake.

Working with KECSS was a deeply rewarding experience. Interactions with individuals like Ms. Savita Shail and Mr. Kapil Kaul were marked by their invaluable support and connections. The panel discussion I moderated during Shuhul Taaph on 31st March was an honor. Their inclusivity and dedication to fostering unity left a strong impression on me. I wish KECSS continued success in promoting openness and understanding.
